Empowerment Posts for Women’s Health Threats, 6 Posts about the mission of the National Cheers Foundation were completed during the months of July-Nov, including 28 participants from Southern California. 

The project hopes to save lives, Lead artists Kira Corser and her co-founder from Atlanta, Lisa Parsons, a retired nurse practitioner. Several nurses, teachers and therapists contributed, especially Nancy Heins-Glaser who is a retired nurse and also a big supporter of arts that impact health and communities.  Other local artists Shelly Krell, Gina Abdelrahman, along with Madison and London Ross contributed stories, images and facts on 5 of the Empowerment Post topics of: Mental Health, Cancer, Autoimmune Disease, Heart Disease and Bone Diseases.

Five Empowerment for health postsThe mission for the National CHEERS Foundation was to highlight women’s health and wellness issues and the project was initiated as part of a Wellness Retreat held at The DeLorean Estate in Pauma Valley. It was hosted by Anseth Richards, founder of the foundation and owner of the estate/retreat center.

The posts were first unveiled at the annual Gala Fundraiser for the National CHEERS Foundation in La Jolla, and then exhibited for the La Jolla Birdstock Music Festival outside the Cup a Cheer Natural Juice and Health Bar.

National Cheers Foundation

The National Cheers Foundation supports San Diego’s Health and Wellness Community through raising money and giving grants for research, health support and education in health and wellness forums. The juice bar, retreat center and wellness projects help raise funds.

Kira is hoping to exhibit the Empowerment Health Posts in several sites before being permanently installed in La Jolla in 2025. The Heart Health Post was shown Dec 7 and 8th in Rancho Santa Fe next to the Post Office for a Holiday Art Exhibition.
