International Human Rights Defenders Conference

The passing of a great man is mourned. Deep admiration for President Carter is felt. Meetings with him were cherished. Work with the Carter Center was valued. The Human Rights Defenders Forum in 2015 was attended. Over the years, collaboration continued. Refugee silk paintings were exhibited. Posts for Peace and Justice was shared.

In 2015, an important gathering was joined. Sixty scholars, activists, and religious leaders were brought together. Twenty countries were represented. The topic of “Beyond Violence: Women Leading for Peaceful Societies” was discussed. The power of art was emphasized. The role of women and girls was highlighted. Global impact was considered. Their rights were uplifted. Creative expression was explored. Art’s influence was recognized. Hope was shared.

Plans are being made. Posts on Human Rights will be placed on Freedom Parkway in Atlanta. The walkway is situated between the Carter Center and the King Center. Connections are being strengthened. Inclusion of the Center for Civil and Human Rights is being pursued. Awareness is being raised. The importance of justice is being acknowledged. Voices are being amplified.

Plans are being made. Posts on Human Rights will be placed on Freedom Parkway in Atlanta. The walkway is situated between the An online mapping project is being designed. The international Charter for Compassion is being supported. A strong partnership has been established. Cities, towns, and communities will be highlighted. Art’s role in peace and kindness will be showcased. Hope will be spread. Compassion will be honored. The Posts for Peace and Justice will be featured. Locations will be marked. Inspiration will be provided. Connections will be encouraged.
